Requirement:

In advance of the final phase to complete VAA's new training headquarters the design team considered it necessary to undertake the raising of part of the existing roof and formation of numerous feature rooflights together with other internal major construction adaptations.

Solution:

Following on from the successful completion of the ITC project, LSC were appointed for the fifth successive time on this site.

The significant part of the works was to raise an 800 m2 area of the existing roof to accommodate VAA's training rigs hall necessary due to the height of the aircraft escape platforms planned to be erected as part of the next phase.
